Looking for great selection of beer with a good burger? Head to Rock and Brews Ohana Restaurant in the historic town of Paia.
“It has a bit of a sports bar feel to it, but it’s a casual, family-fun place with good burgers and delicious chili cheese fries,” says Patricia Rattan. “It’s a great stop on your way back from visiting Hana”.
While it does look and feel like a sports bar, Rock and Brews is a family friendly, casual, music-inspired restaurant with both traditional food and local favorites. Situated in the historic plantation town of Paia, it’s a great place to relax from your drive to or from the windward city of Hana.
It’s open 11 a.m. to 11 pm every day except Sunday, when it opens at 8 a.m.

Beaches. Maui has some of the best beaches in the world. Napili Bay and Kapalua Bay on the west side of the island are popular snorkel locations, and everyone loves Baby Beach in Lahaina. Honolua Bay is also awesome for snorkeling, and Slaughterhouse Beach nearby is a tourist favorite. Don’t forget to try D.T. Fleming Beach Park.

In the upcountry town of Makawao are two good places to eat – Casanova Italian Restaurant and Makawao Steak House. Stop at this “Hawaiian cowboy” town on your way down from a sunrise visit at Haleakala Crater.
