Molokini Crater is a popular snorkel destination!
One of the most popular activities on Maui is a snorkel charter to Molokini Crater. The boats go out of Maalaea Harbor (one or two out of Kihei Harbor) and it’s generally a half-day adventure.
Molokini Crater is known for deep, clear water with excellent visibility. Don’t be intimidated by the deepness of the water, as it’s normally very calm and there are many people around you to be of assistance if you need a little help.
Some of the boats go to Turtle Arches on the way back from Molokini Crater, and all of the boats have some type of snacks, burgers, hot dogs or sandwiches for the hungry and thirsty snorkelers.
All-in-all – it’s a relaxing day on a beautiful boat to an incredible crescent-shaped tuff volcano – an experience you won’t forget.
