Casanova Italian Restaurant & Deli
Casanova Italian Restaurant & Deli in Makawao is one of Maui’s best Italian restaurants.
Casanova Italian Restaurant and Deli in the small, quaint, cowboy town of Makawao is one of the island’s top Italian restaurants. Since 1986, Casanova Italian Restaurant has been serving top-rated Italian food for both locals and tourists to Maui.
Located upcountry from Paia in the cowboy community of Makawao, Casanova Italian Restaurant is a quaint, family-oriented restaurant noted for authentic Italian dishes. A wood-burning stove also turns out delicious pizza and breads.
Casanova Italian Restaurant & Deli Suggestions.
- Make reservations. (808) 572-0220 Casanova can be very busy during the high season on Maui.
- Start your meal with bread and the Italian oils they bring for dipping.
- Parking can be hard-to-find. Consider parking on Baldwin Avenue and walking to the restaurant.
- Spend some time before or after your meal walking around a true, Hawaiian Paniolo (cowboy) town.
- It’s open late (to 2 a.m.) most nights, so stop for a great Italian meal after seeing the sunset at Haleakala Crater.

To Do On Maui!
Visit Honolua Bay when you’re on the west side of Maui, and maybe grab a pizza at Dollie’s. There plenty of activities on Maui and also some of the best burger places are in Lahaina Town. Don’t forget to make a trip to Haleakala Crater and snorkel at Black Rock or Airport Beach.
Looking for a great breakfast? Try The Gazebo in Napili. Do some shopping at Lahaina Cannery Mall, try some pizza in Lahaina Town at Prison Street Pizza, or go upcountry and have a great steak at Makawao Steakhouse.

Beaches. Maui has some of the best beaches in the world. Napili Bay and Kapalua Bay on the west side of the island are popular snorkel locations, and everyone loves Baby Beach in Lahaina. Honolua Bay is also awesome for snorkeling, and Slaughterhouse Beach nearby is a tourist favorite. Don’t forget to try D.T. Fleming Beach Park.
