Dollie’s Pub & Cafe is west Maui‘s best sports bar, and is also known for one of the best pizzas on the island.

Looking for a place to watch college or NFL football?  Want to catch the latest NBA game or baseball game on the Mainland?  Head to Dollie’s Pub & Cafe to watch your favorite team.

The Meat Mongo is packed with various meats and cheeses, and the barbque chicken pizza is also a very popular selection.  Dollie’s Pub & Cafe serves a thick crust pizza, and a large pizza will easily feed a family of four.

“It’s a fun environment,” says Elizabeth Boney.  “It’s truly a sports bar, with good drinks and plenty of TV screens to watch the games.  We love it!”

 

Dollie’s also offers a large selection of deli-style sandwiches, along with salads and a large number of appetizers.  Their buffalo wings with various sauces are very popular with both locals and tourists to Maui.

Since 1983, Dollie’s Pub & Cafe has developed a large, annual following of customers who come to Maui each year.  They offer Happy Hour drink specials, and each Sunday during the NFL season there is a special breakfast menu.  Their entire menu is also available for take-out.

Staying on the west side of Maui?  Make sure you go to Dollie’s Pub & Cafe for lunch or dinner.  The food is good, the service is timely, and it’s a great “local” spot for casual, inexpensive dining.

Directions.  Take Hwy. 30 to the west side of Maui.  Pass through the town of Lahaina, and also go past the entrance to the Kaanapali Resort area.  As you pass the Honua Kai resort to your left, there will be a sign for the Lower Honoapiilani Road.  You can turn left at the traffic light and take this road through the community of Honokowai.

You then enter the community of Kahana. Across from The Sands of Kahana resort, on the mountain-side of the road, is a small strip shopping center.  Dollie’s Pub & Cafe is at the north end of the shopping complex.  It’s also just around the corner from the Kahana Gateway Shopping Center.

Parking.  There’s free parking in the retail shopping complex, and also parking along Honoapiilani Road.  There’s also plenty of parking nearby at the Kahana Gateway Shopping Center, home of the Maui Brewing restaurant.

Some Really Fun Things To Do On Maui!

Visit Honolua Bay when you’re on the west side of Maui, and maybe grab a pizza at Dollie’s.  There plenty of activities on Maui and also some of the best burger places are in Lahaina Town.  Don’t forget to make a trip to Haleakala Crater and snorkel at Black Rock or Airport Beach.

Looking for a great breakfast?  Try The Gazebo in Napili.  Do some shopping at Lahaina Cannery Mall, try some pizza in Lahaina Town at Prison Street Pizza, or go upcountry and have a great steak at Makawao Steakhouse.

Beaches.  Maui has some of the best beaches in the world.  Napili Bay and Kapalua Bay on the west side of the island are popular snorkel locations, and everyone loves Baby Beach in Lahaina.  Honolua Bay is also awesome for snorkeling, and Slaughterhouse Beach nearby is a tourist favorite.  Don’t forget to try D.T. Fleming Beach Park.

Big Beach is a favorite on the southwest side of Maui, along with Ulua Beach, Wailea Beach and Polo Beach.

In Paia, there’s Baldwin Beach that is popular and Ho’okipa Beach is just past Paia.  Just before Hana is the famous Black Sand Beach.

La Perouse Bay is an incredible place to snorkel, swim and hike, and Po’olenalena Beach is a little hide-away beach in the Makena State Park area of southwest Maui.

Eating & Drinking.  Oh, yea.  You’ve also got to eat and drink while visiting Maui.  Well, for breakfast The Gazebo in Napili is a “must-do tradition,” along with the Kihei Café.  For pizza, try Prison Street Pizza in Lahaina or Dollie’s Pub & Café in Napili.

There’s a lot of good burger places in Lahaina, along With Honu Seafood and Pizza and Lulu’s Lahaina Surf Club.

In the upcountry town of Makawao are two good places to eat – Casanova Italian Restaurant and  Makawao Steak House.   Stop at this “Hawaiian cowboy” town on your way down from a sunrise visit at Haleakala Crater.

At The Lahaina Cannery Mall on the west side of Maui, there are free hula shows.  The Polynesian Dancers perform at 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.  The Keiki Hula Show (children performing) is at 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
